What it’s like

Palate

More about elegance than brute force: red berries, tobacco, liquorice, sage and forest-floor complexity, with supple tannins, fresh acidity and good balance.

Monster Notes

“2005, Second Growth, Margaux. This is the sort of Bordeaux I enjoy because everything has had time to come together. Not about showing off power anymore — more fragrance, complexity and finesse. S$228 is not cheap, but you're buying a properly mature wine from a great vintage. This one I would open over a long dinner, not drink in a hurry.”
