CURATED,
NOT CROWDED.

We keep the catalogue small on purpose. Every wine listed here earned its place through tasting, conversation and a little patience — and every entry is written so it can be understood without a wine dictionary.

Thoughtful selection, approachable information, no noise.

Monster Notes

Small annotations from the cellar

01

What vintage actually tells you

The year on the label is a weather report as much as a date — it hints at ripeness, acidity and the mood of a wine.

It’s a clue, not a score.

02

Region before grape

Where a wine grew usually shapes it more than the grape name on the front. Region first is a good habit.

Place talks loudest.

03

Reading a catalogue entry

Producer, region, vintage. Three lines are usually enough to know whether a bottle belongs at your table.

Three lines. Done.

Our Story

WHO LET THE MONSTER
INTO THE CELLAR?

Our wine story began in 1995, long before there was a Cellar Monster. What started as a personal collection gradually became something we wanted to share — and somewhere along the way, a rather friendly monster moved into the cellar.

Ask the Monster

Not sure what to drink? Ask us.

Tell Nicholas, our Chief Wine Curator, what you're eating, what you usually enjoy, your budget — or just say, “I need a good bottle!”

No wine knowledge required. No silly questions either. He'll be happy to recommend something from the Cellar Monster collection.

Not sure what to ask?

  • What goes well with Korean BBQ?
  • I want a nice Bordeaux around $150.
  • Which bottle would you bring to a dinner party?
  • I usually drink Pinot Noir. What else might I like?
  • I need a gift for someone who really knows wine.
