What it’s like

Palate

Classic Saint-Julien with richness but refinement: blackcurrant and dark plum, cedar, spice and mineral notes. There's plenty of concentration, but good acidity keeps the wine balanced rather than heavy.

Monster Notes

Beychevelle is one of those Bordeaux labels that people recognise immediately — and 2010 is a serious vintage. Still plenty of fruit and structure, but with 16 years behind it everything is starting to come together nicely. Elegant rather than aggressive. Open this for a good dinner with roast duck or beef and just let it do its thing.
