Château des Quarts is situated in the village of Chaintré in the Mâconnais sub-region, Château des Quarts has quickly garnered acclaim for producing exceptional wines that express the unique terroir of this historic area.

The estate is a collaborative venture between two renowned wine personalities, Dominique Lafon and Olivier Merlin. Both bring a wealth of experience and passion for winemaking, ensuring that each bottle of Château des Quarts is crafted with meticulous care and expertise.

The jewel of Château des Quarts is their Pouilly-Fuissé, a wine that captures the essence of the region's limestone-rich soils and temperate climate. The vines, some of which are over 70 years old, produce low yields of intensely flavored grapes. REFERENCE TASTING NOTE:

Softly exotic aromas include those of pineapple, lychee, marmalade and a hint of wood. The solidly concentrated and voluminous middle weight flavors possess a lovely sense of refinement and excellent minerality before concluding in a complex, delicious and impressive long finish that evidences a refreshing bitter lemon character. This isn't classic but it's lovely all the same.
