2023 Swartland White, The Sadie Family
2023 Sadie Family Swartland “Skerpioen” White, the stand-out white beauty in Eben Sadie’s District Series. A rare, unirrigated mashup of 50% Palomino and 50% Chenin Blanc, grown in an 80+-year-old bush vine plot nearly kissed by the Atlantic. Named for the scorpions that roam the vineyard, this soil is so tough on the vines, the fruit shines with concentration. Yields stay low (about 26 hl/ha) to keep intensity and saline depth tuned.
