In the glass, Bourgogne Blanc by Dominique Lafon displays a bright, pale gold color. The nose is greeted with aromas of green apple, citrus, and white flowers, intertwined with subtle notes of toasted almonds and a hint of minerality. On the palate, the wine is fresh and lively, with a harmonious balance of fruit, acidity, and oak. The finish is long and refined, leaving a lasting impression of finesse and complexity.
REFERENCE TASTING NOTE:
70% of usual. Now in tank. On its finings so not quite clear. A classic nose of vibrant chardonnay with just the right amount of barrel toast. Plenty of fruit generosity, nothing green here, just a nice long follow through. Aromas of a cold year says Dominique. A little bitter at the back but that will soon resolve. Drink 2024-2026
